HOTAS Grips

Mason has developed Hands-on Throttle and Stick (HOCAS) grips used in multiple platforms, A-4, AV-8, F-117, F-5, F-15, F-18, Super Tucano, Mig-21 and L-159 to name a few.  Mason has extensive experience in all types of fighter aircraft HMI functionality.

HOCAS Grip

HOCAS Grips

Mason has developed Hands-on Collective and Stick (HOCAS) grips used for multiple helicopter platforms including the Sikorsky S-76, UH-60, CH-53, Boeing CH-47, AH-6i, AH-64, Bell UH-1, AH-1, 205, 206, 212, 406, and 412 to name a few.  Mason has decades of experience in all types of helicopters and HMI functionality.  Functionality can include throttles, illumination, and quick disconnect adapters.

Control Wheel

Control Wheels

Our control wheels are known for their ergonomics, finishes, and superior feel characteristics. Mason wheels are found in both commercial and military airframes, including: Boeing, Lockheed, Bombardier, Beechcraft, Gulfstream, Syberjet, Honda, Northrop Grumman, Learjet, Basler, Piaggio, IAI, Sitec, and Embraer.  Control wheels are custom designed for each aircraft to create a signature cockpit and aircraft experience.

Mason has developed a large number of grips used in multiple platforms. Grips include military B-8 style plastic grips and custom investment cast aluminum grips.

      Extremely comfortable for sidestick applications

      Thin wall investment cast aluminum grip

      Three switches, slide or push button, rocker, trigger single or 2-stage

      Currently only available in right hand tooling would need to be mirrored for left version

Flight Sticks, Control Grips, and Throttles

For complete control solutions, specify Mason flight sticks, control grips, and throttles from Mason Controls. From the F-117 to the Space Shuttle, Mason controls are there. We make more styles than anyone. The units in this guide are merely examples of the wide variety available.

We design and develop our grips to meet specific aircraft requirements. Our past experience indicates that a wholesale transfer of existing control grips and throttles to new aircraft rarely occurs. Even with details such as switches, there is usually a need for an adaptation or adjustment. We pride ourselves on working with our customers to provide them with design solutions responsive to their requirements.

Control Wheels

Mason control wheels are used on many commercial airframes, including the Premier 1, 400A, Sino Swearingen SJ30, G100, G150, G200, G400, G500, Boeing 717, and Canada Air Regional Jets. They are also used on many military platforms, such as the C-130 and C-5 transports.

Pilot and copilot control wheels vary in size, shape and functionality depending on what a customer needs. This product guide is a representation of some of the wheels we make.
